Juicy James and the Chicken Tenders

I had a goal to create a gig poster that represents me in some way using imagery that would describe the feeling of what it portrays. Lately, Hozier has been my jam, and with his combination of blues, Irish, and choir music, I've been feeling Gothic in some ways.
Throughout this project, feelings and concepts have changed, and I decided to go for something that represented me in a spontaneously comedic but grunge-like way.
I think the problem with this sketching was that I was making improvements, but I never used the ones with the best composition. I also decided to not use the gravestones; I didn't need them as much as I thought I did. My vision was to combine an organ with choir singers as the pipe and then they sing out mist that summons a ghost.

The style was what I was looking for, but it wasn't satisfying. A lot of people thought it was cool and gave me some good advice on color. I knew I had to change the composition instead of leaving it in two dimensions. However, I decided that I wanted something different; something more strange and unique

As you can tell with these two extra sketches, things started to go a different direction to where I wanted to use hilarity to throw people off. This is what I came up to reflect myself.

I remember I had "Juicy James" as a college nickname. Out of the blue, my roommate added "and the chicken tenders" to the name and it sold pretty well. The difficulty of this project was controlling the stroke with the brushes. However, I just find it so random but funny and I stuck with it because I think it describes me best sometimes.
